Declaration of Sound Financial Management (2024-2025)

We declare, for all legal purposes, that during 2024 and the first half of 2025, the Brazilian Foundation for Sustainable Development (FBDS) prioritized the effective implementation of current policies and procedures related to transparency, appropriate financial management, and the incentive to receive criticisms and suggestions from its collaborators and partners. These Operational Policies are available here.

Specifically concerning anti-corruption policies, we emphasize that in the last eighteen months:

• No type of complaint was filed, nor any suspicious financial movement or commercial transaction was detected.
• An independent external auditor audited the FBDS financial statements and bank transactions, which the Public Prosecutor’s Office approved without reservation.
• The members of our Fiscal Council are highly experienced professionals who are permanently attentive to FBDS’s financial management. The Chairman of that Board, Mr. Sérgio Brilhante Albuquerque, has over 20 years of experience in auditing and fraud prevention at Price Waterhouse.
• As mentioned above, the Chairman of the Fiscal Council has a permanent and private room in the FBDS office. He closely monitors FBDS’s financial and commercial activities, constantly checking compliance with current policies.
• All new members of the FBDS project teams became aware of and agreed with the policies in force.
• During this period, specific training was carried out with employees and consultants regarding anti-corruption policies.

Additionally, we declare that FBDS is not being questioned judicially or extrajudicially in any dispute regarding its activities, including the members of its Board of Trustees and Board of Directors. FBDS management will always continue to receive and examine any criticism, suggestion, and denunciation that may be sent, permanently protecting the privacy and anonymity of the respective signatories and impartially analyzing any anonymous denunciation received.
