COP 3 on Climate Change, held in Kyoto

The third Conference of the Parties (COP 3) resulted in the Kyoto Protocol, an international treaty that complements the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It was the first international treaty aimed at controlling greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.
