The Economic-Ecological Zoning of the Legal Amazon was completed at a 1:2,500,000 scale, with a pilot area at 1:250,000, using a geo-referenced database that enabled the development of technical work related to the environment and sustainable development in the Amazon.
With this study, FBDS began a series of other territorial management and spatial analysis projects that remain an essential part of the institution’s work to this day.
